I spent the better part of a day today trying to get a copy of Microsoft Office 2003 validated. Lets see, at least 5 phone calls, 2 or 3 hangups from Microsoft, endless converstations with their contracted-out support personnel, circles and circles of reading obscure numbers to a call center, etc. At one point, I asked [...]
I took the lamp apart to figure out how the water got into the light bulb. I removed the cover and discovered that the top of the bulb was shattered open. If you’ve ever taken the cover off of one of these types of lamps, you know that they are relatively water-tight, made from one piece [...]
Steven Levy over at Newsweek has this article that alludes that somehow playing Guitar Hero on a Playstation 2 is somehow dumbing down music. Please, its just a game. He reminds me of Dana Carvey’s Grumpy Old Man character on Saturday Night Live a few years back: “In my day, we spent months and years playing [...]
I’ve been toying around with the idea of creating an Events calendar in Fort Smith, but don’t know if I want to invest the time in maintaining it. Of course, it would be very Web 2.0, with ratings and forums and stuff. Of course, event planners and others could input their own events; after the [...]

Furthermore, I figured that it [...]
I really like Netvibes; I really do. BUT, I have been using the latest version of Google Reader, and I really hate to say it, but I have quit using Netvibes and am now using Google Reader exclusively. Why, you increduously (is that right?) ask? Well, the Reader is just efficient. Not only that, I can [...]
The secret of PageRank. Shhhhh! Don’t tell anyone.
Scoble has a post about “Netflix is dead” and that is simply ridiculous in the time space we currently live in. P2P with Verisign and Adobe? Please. *Maybe* Apple could pull this off, maybe even Microsoft, but no way could these two do it. Can’t even imagine that these two even have the corporate culture [...]
Ok, I’ve been taking a lot of heat about not finishing the water in the light bulb mystery. I know a bit about the mystery, but am still puzzled. I will be posting photos of the bulb and we can all speculate what it means.
